Girls' Night Out and Cherished Family Moments
Hey friends, August was a month of connection, laughter, and those heart-filling moments that remind me how blessed I am. I kicked off our girls’ night out group again, and let me tell you, it was like a warm hug for my soul. One of my dear friends, Charice, took the lead and taught us all how to make homemade flour tortillas. The kitchen was a flurry of flour-dusted hands and rolling pins, but the real magic was the laughter. We were loud—probably too loud—and it was perfect. Charice spoiled us with her mouthwatering green chili and beans to go with those fresh tortillas. Picture this: a table full of women, plates piled high, stories flying, and joy just spilling over. It’s the kind of night that makes you feel alive and so grateful for community.
Then, there was this one Sunday that I’m still holding close. I got to sit down for lunch with my husband and two of our boys. Just the four of us, no rush, no agenda—just good food and even better company. After lunch, we broke out the Scrabble board, and let me tell you, it was a riot. There’s something about watching my boys strategize over words (and maybe sneak in a few made-up ones) that makes my heart swell. These are the moments I treasure most, the ones I thank God for when I’m counting my blessings. It’s not fancy or flashy, but it’s everything. Here’s to more nights filled with laughter and days filled with family—what about you? What moments are you treasuring right now?
