Welcome!
Welcome!
Welcome to my website, a space born from a heartfelt desire to uplift and encourage those who feel disheartened by life's unexpected turns. I believe community is essential for healing and hope, which is why I have gathered a team of women who have faced their own struggles and found strength through their faith.

I'm Anna, a retired homeschool mom of five, three of whom are currently prodigals and have stepped away from my life. Through the pain of loss and grief, I cling to God's promises, finding renewed purpose in this season through: writing, producing and editing The Adopted Brothers Podcast - cohosted with my best friend and husband of 27 years - and leading a monthly girls' night. I love the ocean, a good cup of coffee, and road trips with my husband. Thank you for joining us on this journey. Together, with God and each other, we will navigate life's challenges and celebrate its joys. Let me introduce you to the rest of the team!
Welcome Heidi!

When my sister Anna asked me to write a little about myself, I wasn’t sure where to begin. Do I start with the basics? I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, though I spent years as a dialysis nurse—and before that, a nursery nurse. I’ve been married to my husband Franco for 21 years; we met on a mission trip to Honduras (and no, falling in love wasn’t part of the original plan!). We have two amazing kids: Rosa is 9 and Jacob is 7. We live in a home with a beautiful view of the mountains, and our children attend a Christian school.
Of course, there’s so much more that’s shaped who I am—too much for just one paragraph—but here are a few pieces of my journey:
· After 12 years of infertility, we welcomed our first baby through IVF.
· We’ve seen God’s provision in miraculous ways—like when I left my job to focus on fertility treatments, and the very next month, Franco’s business grew by over 50%.
· We’ve served in many church roles—missions pastors, children’s pastors, small group leaders—but we’ve also been deeply hurt by the church.
· I battled severe postpartum depression after my second was born—a struggle that lasted years and shaped me in unexpected ways.
· I’m continually seeking God’s purpose for my life. Right now, I lead a Moms in Prayer group and just accepted a larger leadership role in that ministry.
These are just some highlights of a longer story. I’m only now stepping into this writing journey, thanks to Anna’s encouragement. I’m not sure exactly where it’ll lead—but I’m excited to find out.
Welcome Charice!

I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a wife, mother of four, and grandma to two beautiful girls. My journey has not been without trials - I became a teen mom of two and overcame a domestically violent relationship - but through God's healing and grace, I have experienced redemption and restoration. In His timing, God brought a man into my life who not only loved me and my children, but who loves Jesus even more. For the past 16 years, I've been blessed with a Christ-centered marriage to this man, and together we are raising two more wonderful children. As my husbands caregiver following a traumatic brain injury, I've learned even more about faith, perseverance, and the beauty of God's sustaining love. Life continues to bring challenges, but my faith keeps me grounded, my family keeps me joyful, and my heart remains dedicated to sharing the gospel and God's love. A Colorado native, I cherish the mountains, the ocean, cooking, family gatherings, and the simple beauty of everyday blessings.
Welcome Melissa V.!

Hello, my name is Melissa Vigil. I am a daughter of the King of Kings, a believer in the mighty power of prayer, a prayer warrior who has a heart on fire for the Lord, and a shining light in the darkness. I have been married for 14 years to my husband Adrian, and together we have been blessed with 5 beautiful children. In 2014, while my oldest daughter was almost 2 years old, I was pregnant with our second baby. Forever in my heart will be etched the day that we went in for an ultrasound at 29 weeks pregnant, and we found out that our baby’s heart had stopped beating. It felt as if my whole world came crashing down, shattered and shaking, and no way to make sense of this tattered new reality that we now had to call life. So I did what I knew to do. I clung to Him, our great Father God, with all my might, I clung to Him. Even in the anguish of the longest and darkest of nights, I cried out to Him, wailing and sometimes sounding like an unfamiliar wild animal, I cried out to him in all the rawness that grief and loss brings, and still I clung to Him. Through it all, my tender hearted and faithful Father God did not leave me. Not even once, not ever did he abandon me. Instead, as my heart continued to heal and to trust that God is good at all times and His love endures forever, He gifted my husband and I with 3 more children throughout the years. I now have the great opportunity and honor to be a stay at home mom and homeschool my 4 beautiful children, placing God at the center of our life, our home, and our hearts.
As a Colorado native, I’ve found there is no peace and joy like there is while camping in the beautiful Rocky Mountains with my family and our dogs! I love all kinds of music and instruments, playing board games with family and friends, morning cuddles, anything chocolate, and enjoying a good lightening and thunderstorm from my front screened in porch. Most of all though, I love that there is no greater joy than knowing that I am loved deeply by my Father, and that I am exactly where God has placed me at this very moment, and that His plans are far greater than anything I could ever have dreamed of. He is the potter, I am the clay. I am an empty vessel, fill me up Lord to overflow. I pray that you will be filled to overflow with Gods peace, love, grace and mercy, and that you too will be a bright and shining light in the darkness for all to see.
