Intimacy With Jesus

Intimacy. More than in any other time in history, we are living in the days of rushing to and fro, seeking knowledge, ever learning, but neglecting our time in the secret place where we can find our Peace, our answers, and the Power that keeps us connected to our Creator. It is being connected to the Vine, to Jesus Himself, where we find True fulfillment. There is nothing that can replace this experience. Sitting at the feet of Jesus in our relationship with Him. 

 The story of Martha Luke 10:38-41 (BSB)

 Martha and Mary As they traveled along, Jesus entered a village where a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister named Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to His message. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations to be made. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord replied, “you are worried and upset about many things. But only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, and it will not be taken away from her.” It is in the Secret Place where we keep our oil filled. And it is in the busyness of this life, letting the worries of this world weigh us down where our oil gets used up and our hearts get discouraged and heavy. 

 Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Sitting at the feet of Jesus is where the weight of this world and life problems can be disintegrated by His Presence. Nothing else matters. We are only here for a short time. Jesus is Everything! Sit at His feet. Go to Jesus Be still and know that He is God. May we never take for granted this gift He has given us of eternal salvation and the privilege to sit at His feet.
