Live by Faith Not by Sight
Living by Faith: Embracing God's Promises Beyond What We See
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 NIV
The spiritual world is more real than the world we see before our eyes. Once we realize this, we can grasp the true reality of God’s Word and the truth He has given us to live by.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV
Through faith, we live out the beauty of salvation and hold fast to every promise He has given us to navigate our daily lives. The world tempts us to fear, worry, doubt, and live in deceit. But we must look beyond what is immediately before our eyes and understand that our Father has far greater plans for us. In fact, it is already done.
It was finished on the cross. It is finished. At that moment, we crossed over from where we were to where we now are. We now have hope and a Savior who has laid out promises not only for us but for our children and our children’s children.
Amazing!
When we stand on His promises and the power of His Word, we can rest assured He has already worked it all out for us. Peace. In this, we find peace, for He is our peace.
“For we live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 NIV
Our eyes can deceive us, and our hearts can mislead us, but Jesus alone is the Truth. When we keep our eyes fixed on Him, the storm does not matter.
What a Wonderful Counselor we have! He has already laid it all out for us.
May we always walk with eyes of faith and not be pulled into this temporary reality.
“However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’—the things God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV
I encourage the Body of Christ to stand strong and keep your eyes on Jesus! Look past the facade of this world and focus on the Holy One, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
